Allied Building Supply, makes every effort to work with companies who emphasize 'Green' Products and manufacturing techniques.

One such company is United States Gypsum (USG), who was one of the early pioneers of Green Production. Their plants have worked with environmental control equipment since before the Clean Air Act was passed in 1969. Whenever possible, the plants consume clean fuels, i.e. low-sulfur oil, and natural gas. Water treatment equipment is used at paper mills and Ceiling tile plants, which recycles the water and reduces effluent discharges into municiple Treatment Systems.

USG was also one of the founding members of the U.S. Green Building Council in 1993 and participates in Construction Recycling.
