ALLIED VISUAL DISPLAY BOARDS: Allied Building Supply (ABS) writing surfaces are made with the finest products available. Due to today's higher standards, ABS is pleased to manufacture the highest quality board, consisting of 28 gauge low gloss P3 and environmentally friendly E3 ceramicsteel, ½" particle board, and a .005 aluminum back as our standard board (less expensive .0005 polyester metalized film, or a more expensive heavier .015 aluminum sheet are also available if specified). This combination when framed with one of our "Series" trims results in a finished product with a smoother writing surface, enhanced visibility, improved eraseability, and reduced surface light distortion. The surface has a high resistance to chemicals, scratches, fire and graffiti, and allows for removal of crayons and permanent pens without damaging the surface. ABS foil backing is more resistant to tears and scratches common on many marker boards with just vapor barrier film. ABS Dry Erase Boards and Chalk boards come standard with clear anodized aluminum trim, tray and map rail (optional). Black anodized is also available in any of the 5 Series, at an additional cost. Standard boards are 4' high with widths from 4' to 16'. Build your desired board by selecting the Series that best suits your application. ABS Roller Display Rail is available on any series and is very popular in business and conference rooms as well as schools. Visual Slider Units, Display Cases, Conference Units, and Interactive Systems are also available. Complete the unit with a flag holder and map hooks. SERIES 1 SERIES 3 SERIES 5 SERIES 7 SERIES 9 ALLIED TACKBOARDS: ABS Tackboards are versatile and come in various compositions. The always popular vinyl covered ½" fiberboard is the most economical board with a wide range of colors and patterns. A 3/8" fiberboard with 1/8" cork is also excellent for classrooms, as it allows full penetration of the pins, and teachers can easily cover them to personalize the board. A ¼" cork on ¼" Masonite hardboard offers a more rigid board, with partial pin penetration. When a Bulletin Board with a just backing, choice of colors, and self healing qualities is desired, specify ¼" FORBO on ¼" Masonite hardboard. Tackboards are trimed with the same series u-mold and finish as the other specified writing surface units. RETROFIT EXISTING BOARDS: ABS also has options available for retrofitting existing boards with available cost effective board recovery systems where trim and tray are in good shape.
